Alternative to PayPal Moneypools?

I'm looking for a way to collect money in an anonymous self-help group, online. We used to use PayPal moneypool, where you could check a box to donate 'anonymously', meaning, the one collecting and the other contributors couldn't see people's real names and who gave what.

We don't want to use cryptocurrencies due to the perceived high effort of setting it up and the volatility of the currencies.

Are there any alternatives left, beside crypto? Or are our reservations misguided and you can convince me that there are easy to use and stable crypto options?
