What devices do you use as daily drivers?

Really, the only thing I "need" is a computer running Linux with a half-decent CPU in it. My "daily carry" is decidedly boring in that respect, since it's basically a decidedly aged Haswell desktop and a few Thinkpads that are configured near-identically. The real special sauce is Syncthing, which lets me pick up working exactly where I left off on any of my work, with any of my devices. In the morning, I can choose if I want to sit at my desk and pound some code out, or grab my T460s and dock it upstairs, or throw my x201 into my bag and take a trip into the city. No matter which one I choose, my work is always perfectly synced up and ready to go, which feels incredible to put into practice.

Here's a lightning/bonus round of other software/hardware I find nice:

- Shure SM57: a microphone that's legendary for it's acoustic/drum authenticity, but also works great for vocals if you've got a powerful enough preamp.

- Galaxy S10e: not a perfect phone by any means, but as far as budget handsets go it has me pretty impressed. Lots of premium features for a pretty low price, and it's served me well so far.

- Generic triple wireless charger: It's super nice to be able to toss things on my desk and have them topped off as I work. Mine cost $25 or something from Amazon, it shouldn't be too hard finding a similar product.

- KDE Connect: a really nice utility that handles all the extra "magic" you'd expect to find in an ecosystem, like remote control, wireless file sharing, clipboard synchronization and more.

- Blender: not much I can say here that hasn't been said already, but if you can conquer the learning curve it's truly an everything-tool.

- Betterdiscord/Spicetify: this one is dumb, but I like enforcing a consistent color scheme across my apps. I have a 10-15 line bash script that auto-rices Discord and Spotify to delicious perfection.

*Phone:* Galaxy S21 that I got very recently. It's styled with KLWP and makes the interface look Cyberpunk-ish.

*Laptop:* Macbook Pro that I use for work. Its touch bar is nice to have, but not necessary.

*PC:* Windows PC that I built in 2017. The last time I upgraded it was last year, when I added another SSD and another HD. Unlike an old laptop that I used to use, I haven't noticed a decrease in performance at all. If there's been one, it's been minuscule.

*Headphones:* The noise canceling and bluetooth Sony WH1000-XM3. Incredible to listen to and quite comfy. I used to use the XM2s (gave to SO) and although those were great the XM3 is better in every regard.

*Mic:* Samson Q2U that's XLR and USB compatible. Even though I love the XM3s, its built in mic isn't the best and I wanted something better.
