MongoDB is a re:Invent partner?
I noticed that Mongodb figures prominently in the sponsor list for re:Invent. That was not something I expected to see considering AWS support for the earlier mongodb open source code. Anyone have any background on if they've made up?
Something of a misconception here: AWS doesn't use any of their code. They wrote a bolt-on layer above Aurora Postgres that aims to mimic / clone the semantics. It's like running a windows app on Linux via WINE: it sounds cool and then you realize it's going to be a world of pain.
