Is Reddit moderation flawed? Any alternative to reduce mod power?


Personally, I'm getting sick and tired of mods on Reddit abusing their powers. I've even come across mods disagreeing withother on bans. Its a pure joke.

Are there alternatives to Reddit that will reduce mod powert? or at very least challenge their decisions? They seems to ban users who do accept their views and it's super boring.

This discussion has been had many times on HN. The conclusion usually comes to 1) start your own subreddit and 2) learn to live with it. Another, much less popular option that I've adopted is just don't use reddit - it's a cesspool.
