Is there any good Ad Blocker for Safari?

Dear HN,

After being spoiled by Firefox add-ons such as uBlock Origin, I'm finding it very difficult to use AdBlockers in Safari. I'm using my iPad Mini a lot and would love to have a decent ad blocker for iOS. What are HN users using on iOS for adblocking? I don't want to belive that there is no good solution out there...

PS: I'm currently using AdBlock but I'm not impressed with it.

AdGuard gets closest (https://adguard.com/en/adguard-safari/overview.html), but the Safari SDK doesn't allow for as fine-grained filtering as Firefox.

Here's some of the history: https://github.com/el1t/uBlock-Safari/issues/158. If you want the best ad blocking, use Firefox and uBO. If you're really stuck using Safari on macOS (or iOS), strongly consider AdGuard.

Better. It blocks most ads and tracking, but actually allows well behaved ads, which I am happy to support. Better is built by an indy husband and wife team. I have no affiliation.
