Something like 15 min meditation can feel agonizingly long too. I'd recommend doing it just so you feel that something is going slowly.
Social media (including HN) has the opposite effect. It puts you into flow, which sucks you through time.
One suggestion would be to do fewer things, or find a job with fewer tasks. Downside is that if you don’t like that, time will probably seem slower and you’ll be looking at the clock all day.
With practice this estimation exercise gets pretty accurate and helps with "busy-body" anxiety.
One of the changes I've noticed it's that time has slowed down.
As a result, I became less anxious, I sleep well. There have also been many good changes.
I know this solution will not work for everyone.
