Is there money in a powerful graphics/UI lib for embedded systems?

A friend has developed a very powerful and richly featured library for embedded systems UI/graphics.

He does it as a hobby at the moment.

He and I have been wondering if there's a viable path to make money with it.

Is there anyone here who has an opinion to share?
