Good free resources for self-learning and teaching Financial Modelling?

I am looking for good free resources for the uninitiated who want to self-learning and afterwards teach financial modelling, forecasting and valuation of private companies (large and small).Is this possible to do i.e. self-learn and then teach others what you have learned?
