What is the tech scene like in Charleston?

Question

Partner is moving to Charleston for work, I&rsquo;m trying to figure out what that means for me.I have no idea what tech companies/startups/cutting edge tech using companies exist in Charleston and am worried I may not find a job that uses my skill sets.What&rsquo;s it like living in Charleston?How is the tech scene there?Who are the big players?Who are the hungry up and comers?

If I recall correctly (lived in a different part of the state for a few years) there&rsquo;s a lot of defense contractors out there. There are a few tech players, Blackbaud being the first that&rsquo;s comes to mind, but unfortunately I can&rsquo;t recall much more at the moment.
