World wide remote friendly startups


Hi Community,

I am backend developer with the primary focus on JVM based languages (Java + Kotlin).

I looked at "Who Is Hiring" threads and found the vast majority of startups are looking for either on-site or remote in the sepcific locations.

Why is it the case? Are there any resources where I can find worl wide remote BE positions?

Ya, the problem is legal challenges with a lot of locations, ie: - some countries have no legal system, big risk to hire there. - some countries are illegal to do business with depending on the companies location - some countries/states/counties have local taxes and weird tax nexus issues. That can be a big problem.

Where are you based? Is your location one that falls into one of those?
