Music library management and mobile sync workflow for Linux?

I've been passively wanting to move from MacOS to Linux / BSD, the only thing stopping me is the music management / mobile sync workflow.

Currently I'm managing ~100G local music with MacOS Music.app. The general workflow is:

  - Download music file
  - Import to Music.app
  - Edit tags
  - Sync to iPhone
The experience is pretty smooth except Music.app (and the whole OS) is getting buggier every version. Is there a similar workflow I can use on Linux / BSD?

Requirements:

  - Easy & fast sync music from desktop to mobile and vice versa. (Should only sync diff of course. Remote sync is a plus)
  - Decent music library management, easy CRUD & tag edit
  - Decent music playing experience on both desktop & mobile
  - Scriptable and nice interface would be a plus plus

I use a Windows virtual machine and iTunes. It’s not ideal but it works.
