How have tech jobs changed in the past decade?
The same big employers, interview processes, code review, performance reviews might give the impression that very little has changed. Is this the case?
Once upon a time there were System Administrators at small businesses, who just fixed things when they broke, helped out in other projects when time permitted. Over the decade, things got more reliable, and that role evaporated. Many small firms now outsource all of their IT administration.
So, that's a tech job that no longer exists.
