Do you have experience porting a .NET API to Go?

Curious here, as I may be involved in such an endeavor soon... any takeaways, best practices, would not recommend, etc.?

First major hurdle I'm anticipating while going through the go tutorial is that go doesn't have classes... that'll be fun.
