EE of 15 years. If you want to “learn” chips design and verification no easy way out except to go to a decent uni and get degreed. Wish there were boot camps one could attend( like for Webdev) but unfortunately for ASIC/ FPGA) design a degree(need not be from top notch) is a prerequisite. That is IF you want to get a job. If you don’t want to get a job you still need uni courses to get your prerequisite fulfilled. No easy way out.
