Anyone else seeing their HN karma go up unexpectedly?

Comments and submissions can be upvoted (but not downvoted or flagged) long after they were posted. Maybe a prior submission of yours was linked recently, or a prior submission that you commented on.

Don't know.

It's an illusion. Back in 2009 or so, I was convinced the same thing was happening to me, and made a post about it. In hindsight, I was just fooling myself.

There aren't any tools I'm aware of, because the HN API doesn't expose your karma count. You'd have to make your own scraper to track individual comment karma counts over time.

Looking over your history, you've posted about 50 comments over the last month or so. Your karma boost is almost certainly because people were upvoting those.

I upvoted a few of your old ones just to further unsettle you too. :)
