DuckDuckGo or StartPage or other? Which one do you use and why?

I recently switched from DDG to StartPage and am seeing better search results imo but I have only been using it for couple days. I am curious what everyone else uses and how they find it?

I use ddg and I wouldn't want to give up the bang operator shortcuts. I use them heavily.

I use &ldquo;about:blank&rdquo; as a start page. It&rsquo;s way faster then anything else.

Also switched from DDG to StartPage. Search results are much better. Am I correct in assuming StartPage uses Google as its search?My one hesitation is that it was recently purchased by an advertising/marketing company.
