What is your opinion on the Idle Detection API introduced in Chrome 94?

https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/4590256452009984#details says web devs have a "positive" stance on it, but cite no sources, I call B.S.

I'm against it completely, it's invasive and unnecessary.

Would love to hear some thoughts.
