Statistically over 60% people worldwide wear glasses ... stereo-typically this number is probably higher on HN.So with that in mind let me tap into the collective hive mind of HN and ask:* How do you maintain your glasses? * How do you clean them? * How long do they last before you need new ones?

I used to use paper towels and teeshirts to "clean" mine. I now try very very hard to only use microfibre cleaning cloth.I find the coatings last longer and I get less scratches.

A drop of dishwashing liquid and a bit of water. Get the rinse-off step right and there's not even a need to wipe off the lens afterwards, something in the soap makes the water droplets run off without any residue.
