Has SurveyMonkey Been Hacked?


I got an email from them saying they renamed to "Momentive" but this is nowhere to be found in their website.

Thanks all who replied. It doesn't look like they were hacked at all. Oof.

I semi-panicked because:

* The email was sent to an address which I haven't used in years and which is not associated with any SurveyMonkey account

* The email was NOT sent to the email address which IS associated with my SurveyMonkey account

* The FROM address was suspicious (not coming from surveymonkey.com)

* The origin server for the email was not from something I recognized as associated to SurveyMonkey

* Their main page doesn't say anything about Momentive (you have to go in the help section to find something)

* Momentive.com and Momentive.io are totally different companies

They were bought by Momentive but will retain their branding and name
