How do you keep track of your routines and habits?

I use a google doc that basically looks like github's commit squares: https://www.ajnisbet.com/blog/tracking-goals

Some advantages of this over the various apps I've tried:

* Free

* No ads

* Synchronised web + mobile apps

* No demoralising penalties for breaking a streak

* At a glance you can see both recent usage (which is most relevant) and long term usage (which is really motivating)

Using https://autopilot.ooo I’ve automated myself in both my morning and evening routines. I noticed I have exceptionally poor executive functioning in the morning, but now I don’t have to think at all for the first hour that I’m awake, I just follow my pre-programmed instructions written for me by my benevolent higher-functioning awake self in the past. Thanks me!

Streak. It was cheap and a one time purchase and I quite like the design. I also use Things for specific and granular tasks.
