What's your go-to stack for writing personal tools/apps in 2021?

Suppose you'd like to write some tools just for your own use, to automate tasks or organize personal data. What stack would you use, that's modern and fun, and is not going to disappear in a couple of years?

So far I've been oscillating between Ruby/ActiveRecord, Python/PySide and JS/Electron/Vue/Bootstrap, which are all fine, but not terribly exciting. I'm now looking to migrate my Ruby code to something with a better GUI story, and I thought it'd be a good opportunity to maybe pick up something new.

You want exciting yet not gonna disappear in a few years, the 2 don't really go together that well...
