Who in Google thought it's a good idea to show “people also search for”?

Google Search keeps bothering users by showing unnecessary list of "People Also Search for" message among search results. This is especially annoying when you visit a page and go back to the search results page. Because of this stupid "People Also Search for" message, the search results get shifted down every time you go back to the search results page, so you might click on a wrong link.

This is insane because at the bottom of the search results (right above the page numbers), the same message "People Also Search for" is shown again!!

Plus, the whole idea of showing this message implies that people actually don't know what to search for. This is so not true. I think most people know what they are looking for when querying a new search. In most browsers and on Google.com, they also see Auto_Complete phrases that helps them phrase their queries in a way that Google understands better.

Google is a huge company and hires the brightest minds. But I keep wondering, who the heck came up with this user-hostile "feature"? This is honestly driving me to use DDG or something else.

I'm not a fan of many of these new "features", but users aren't always able to formulate effective queries for their search goals.

"You searched for x, but because we think we know what you really want based on your geolocation, we will show you y and z", is more troubling for me.

Well they don't, that's the entire point of a search engine. If you know what it is you're looking for you wouldn't be searching for it in the first place.
