What’s the Status of Electron in 2021?

I'm evaluating the pros and cons of building an electron app, and although for the kind of app, it makes sense to use electron, I'm still not 100% sure.I know that in most cases, the answer is always: it depends&trade;, but I'd be very curious to hear some unbiased stories from more experienced people on the topic, because I believe there is a "stigma" around electron nowadays, and I'm not sure if it's still true.

I wrote an electron app a few years ago and it&rsquo;s grown into a real business by surpassing my consulting income. I developed an electron app last year. And maintain and add features for it currently. For a company that uses it to manage backend data. A mix of windows and mac users. It has worked out really well.
Aurelia and node.js for the front end (similar to react). Aws for the web services.
Haven’t run into any issues. Pretty solid platform.
