Incorporate in US, but Live in India?

Hey everyone - I currently work on H1B visa in the US, have a Singapore Permanent Residence, and Indian citizenship. I am planning to start up a global internet-based company with initial users in the US. To build global credibility, I'm inclined to incorporate in US, but on a personal front, I'd like to move back to India and operate from there.

Do you have insight on the legal, tax and cost implications of operating in such a manner? Would you do an alternative structure?

If you plan on bootstrapping and not getting venture capital I recommend using a LLC. You can form it yourself online: https://www.llcuniversity.com/ If you live in the US for more than six months you will have to incorporate the LLC in the state where you live.

Firstbase, Stripe Atlas, and a few other options. There are everything handled for you services. WHy not incorporate in Sg? Start in Sg and once you have people incorporate in the us if you have to

You can do Stripe Atlas if you want to move back to India but incorporate in the US.

Does the H1B Visa status allow you to start your own company in the USA ?
