How do you consume stuff on HN while still being productive?

Theres so much interesting stuff: links and comments posted on HN. What strategies do you use to read them and process them effectively?

I don't habitually scan HN for interesting content, because doing that opens up rabbitholes, and that's a huge time and attention sink if you need to get other things done.I mostly use HN to keep up with my industry, since it moves so fast. What upcoming services and tools can I now leverage today? Also: what services/projects have gone bust and died because they couldn't sustain themselves?

I only read HN on mobile.Stuff that seems worth checking out is started or the link-shared for investigation when online.
