Did Acorns Get Hacked?

All phone numbers in the email does not work. 866-221-3550. Virtual assistant is not available. My account is locked.

I submitted a support request. I received an automated email requesting bank info and address. This is really odd, seeing the email said "I need to call."

Received this email

For your security, we have temporarily locked your account to prevent potential fraud.

To unlock your account, please give us a call at 866-221-3560 between 5:00 am - 7:00 pm PST, Monday - Friday, so that we can verify that your account is secure.

Please ignore this message if you have already contacted us regarding this matter.

Phone number is disconnected and the chat support is down, for a while it was up with 1200+ people in the queue.

Same here, got the email stating unusual activity, tried logging in and was pushed back that they were working on tech difficulties, the phone # is indeed invalid. Did not get any other contact after trying to log in. Something is def up, doesn't look good. I hadn't connected anything to it so not too worried, but still sus af

Looks like the email was an error. I'd agree with KingFelix that their servers are overloaded because of it.

Same here. Can't call and it's asking me to update my number on the website.

I sent a message through support and they sent an email asking to verify my address and the last 4 numbers of my account # - all of which I'm not going to provide via email. I stated as much in my email and did not hear back.

Same here. I received the same email and am unable to update pw or log in. All customer service numbers aren't working.

I received 2 emails, 1 saying my account is locked and another just now saying it is not locked.
