Features: 1) Searching for multiple specific genders. Previously this was only 'one gender' or 'any'. However, often people want to search for 'one gender' + Non-Binary. Unfortunately, the code didn't support the new functionality well, so I had to refactor a lot (especially tests). Now it should be much easier to maintain though.
2) Searching by children preferences (whether their matches have and want children). This just reused logic from (1).
Overall, it is surprising how much complexity there can be in a dating site :)
Some users are making requests up to 20MB - so the next step will be to compress payloads on the sender side!
I was very excited when, for the first time ever, late last night, I created a Haskell code block, did C-c, C-c, and got a hello world to show up!
I have never been able to get ob-haskell to work before, and I have been fighting it off and on for years, using the same tactics.
I've learned not to freak out when the magic smoke lets loose.
I've also learned how horrible Silver-Mica capacitors are. I invented a new troubleshooting technique to track them down. Any resistors in series with them and high voltage should have zero volts across them, if there's voltage across the resistor, there's current, and a leaky cap. You have to first pull out all the tubes, but leave B+ on.
next steps is adding some screener presets and then I will need to contact some options trading youtube gurus to try the tool looking for feedback.
Also trying to squeeze in time to write a script for my coding for kids series.
