Palo Alto Things to Do?

Wow, cutting it a bit close on hitting up the locals for advice :) Im guessing you actually know someone over here and are already employed. Housing in Palo Alto is not inexpensive and its quite a commute to places that are more affordable. If you can work remote dont live in the bay area unless you can secure about $1M to purchase a place. Renting in the bay area is throwing money away (usually a lot of money too). Dont buy in the forested areas between Santa Cruz and San Francisco or any of the forested areas east of 880. Much of these areas are for sale now and one lightning storm away from a wildfire. I dont find San Jose very attractive either. You'll also want to find a hobby that involves being outside.
