How to get involved in “maker culture” these days?

I just found out that Maker Faire died. I never went to one, though now I wish I had.What&rsquo;s the equivalent now? Is maker culture dead or has it just fragmented? Do Adafruit or other organizations do conventions?I realize nothing is stopping me from getting started on my own, but I like the idea of participating in a community

i have been a fan, in general, and almost joined techshop a couple diff times over the years.
i know some libraries started opening shops.
and i think techshop itself went kaput.
phoenix has a shop i prob would have at least checked out more, but covid.
