Honest Are You as an Engineer

Wonder how many people struggle and don't feel comfortable with doing what is asked by management because they feel its ethically/ morally wrong/ looting/ cheating.

Not sure how people just feel comfortable with white lies and not acknowledging their wrong doings. If flesh trade is a thing then so is this intellectual prostitution. For me I tried and got fired twice, now just staying silent...

I make a clear distinction between white lies and unethical conduct. It is easiest to go along with white lies so long as they do not cause material disadvantage to anybody. When you become a registered engineer or member of any other profession body you are required to agree to abide by a Code of Ethics as a condition of maintaining your accreditation.

Thus as a professional you should refuse to engage in illegal, unethical conduct. If management remains unmoved, then resigning is really the best long-term option. The stress of any wrong-doing is bad for your health and in some cases, you could be liable to prosecution for your actions.
