How many bookmarks do you have in the browser?

I got over 7000. Most of it is probably school related or something I found on HN or reddit that I saved to later but will never actually read.I started using Chrome in 2009 as a first-year high school student so it's 12 years of high school, university, and work related bookmarks.How do you organize and read through many bookmarks?

I built https://closetab.email to periodically email me links from my bookmarks, so that I end up consuming them eventually.That&rsquo;s my trick and it&rsquo;s working for me. Helps me confidently bookmark something and close the tab.

Most of my bookmarks are saved in PinBoard. I also tend to use Zotero or Diigo to store my bookmarks. Occasionally, I will browse them by dates to see what I was reading x years ago. Sometimes, I will search them. I do not like to use tag so just use plain search in tools mentioned above. However, most of the bookmarks have not been opened at all. There is also the issue of linkrot and I found that Zotero works best for me to save them offline.
