Make Firefox font rendering look like Chrome?

I love FF, but after using it for a long time, I accidentally opened HN on Chrome and man it looks much nicer (and bolder). Is there a way to make changes in FF to render fonts better?

The difference is esp. obvious in text input fields like this one on HN.
