Are there medications you take only for their side effects because no other medication has the desired effect?
No but there is a medication that I like the side effect of. I take an alpha 2 receptor agonist to lower blood pressure. It has the side effect of increasing HGH production which is a positive for me. I don't like the other side effects though. Some people abuse this drug for the sleepiness side effect but I would gladly do without that effect.
Yes. I take Wellbutrin (an antidepressant) because its side-effects counter the sexual side-effects of Seroquel (an antipyschotic).
