Does anyone have contact with Higan’s creator, Byuu?

I know Byuu is a controversial person in the emulator development scene. He’s done some things over the past few years that charitably could be described as poorly thought through.

That said, he is a skilled engineer and has contributed a lot to the world of emulator software and ROM preservation. Recently, it was claimed on Twitter he had taken his own life. (https://twitter.com/eevee/status/1409230358977998851?lang=en) However, nobody has been able to confirm whether this is true or if byuu is instead still with us.
