Do you use a retro computer for real work?


If so, please describe computer and work.

That depends on what you define as 'real work'.

I am retired from a day-to-day job. So the easy answer to your question is 'No'.

So I have a hobby or two to fill in my time. My main hobby is writing emulators for old 'retro' computers from the 1980s. A lot of times I use those emulators themselves for writing more software with WordStar under CP/M as my text-editor.

Do you count Virtual Machines as "retro computer"?

At my last job, there was a program that only ran under MS-DOS. I set up a virtual machine to run the software, and a pipeline to print its output.
