Connecting USB Devices via WiFi?

I've been trying to find out how to connect some low bandwidth devices that require USB connection (a mouse) to connect to a computer via wifi. Sadly, googling this is hopeless as results end up being about wireless mouse, etc.

To clarify I'd like to know if there is a way to create a bridge of some sort that you can connect your USB device to and have it connect as a wifi device to your router. And on the computer side have the computer connected to the same wifi network detect the new device as a native USB device, as if it's connected physically via USB to the computer.

Not sure about bridges, but nearest is "Usb over ip"

I remember usb/ip being the open source approach but last time I looked it had no signed cert to allow straightforward use in eg windows etc. (Not a test cert requiring some reghack).

Not vouching for these other than them being found during a websearch last time I looked. They're just examples, feel free to suggest others.
