Why is a user now able to edit their comment after a reply?

This has happened a few times now over the last couple days -- I'll reply to a newly posted comment, only to realize after 5-10 mins that they actually edited their comment after my reply, making my reply seem ... incorrect.

Is this a recent change to HN?
