Best top level domains for a personal blog?

So I've decided to start a personal blog to write down some thoughts about anything (professional and personal). I know it's a nitpick but is there a recommended domain? I'm looking at .page but would like to avoid big tech if possible.

I don't think it matters a heckuva whole lot.

Personal blogs depend greatly on two things:

1. Who you are.

2. The quality of the writing.

There are quite a few factors that would matter (e.g a 100% tech crowd is going to understand that youname.app is valid whereas a non-tech crowd might think it's yournameapp.com).

Generally, I'd go with the below:

1. .com

2. slightly longer .com (e.g bobsmith.com is taken, so go with bobMIDDLENAMEsmith.com).

3. something relevant (e.g .tech, .accountant, etc).

Anything non traditional (com, net, org, or your actual country tld) is going to be weird.

But if you can't go traditional, go weird. .page is kind of lame, get something off kilter like .bike or something.

1. .com if you can get it.

2. Every other TLD.

Anything really, or just host it on GitHub pages and skip the domain.

i like how jvns.ca is so short! https://jvns.ca/

And is an easy-to-remember abbreviation for her name.
