Build a test app for evaluation in Remote Job test is rising SCAM?


Recently I gave 3 build an app test following some online remote job websites, and Interestingly, after delivering the app - all the 3 companies are gone?

After digging more, I found out, that 2 of the company had "Coming soon" website and 1 had some weird landing page.

Is this rising scam?

Lesson, I have learnt:

- If website says: "Coming soon" - Stay away.

- If website has 1 landing page without "About" or Company information - "Do more research on Google"

- Try to take 1 video call with the company asking, why are these tests important to see, who is behind. If your profile is cool and company is legit, they will not shy away to take a call.

You might be too early to those companies. In your case, I would learn about people first before doing anything. During a pandemic, everything just becomes hard for everybody so if you don't really know people (at least in-person contact or a strong ref) - should not invest too much time.
