Have you used Widevine (or similar DRM) for browser media protection?

I have a client that is asking me to implement something like Widevine in order to "protect" their media on their website. They basically want to have the same sort of protection that Netflix has, and just prevent people from "right-click download" video files whenever they want.

Now, I know that this is not perfect and that if people want to, they can find a way to both download the video and strip it of any protection, but that's not important here. The goal is not to prevent it 100%, but rather implement something that is good enough for my client to be happy. I've explained all of this already to the client, but they insist they want something to "protect".

So with that out of the way, is there anyone here on HN that has actually used Widevine (like Shaka Player + Packager) or similar for a website before and could tell me a bit about your experience? If someone know a better alternative than Widevine, I'm also happy to hear about it.

Haven’t tried it myself but I believe that some video hosting services provide such functionality.
