And from what I can see, most video game publishers will give you a relatively small amount of money but then expect you to do tons of work to get games up to their standards.
A part of me just wants to upload it up on Itch IO and let a handful of friends play it. Another part of me once the somehow connect with an angel publisher which would give me $500,000 or so to finish the project to my vision.
