Reasons for missing mobile Firefox features?

The last three years I tried to take more care about my privacy. Can someone tell me the reason why the mobile Firefox app for iOS has such a limited set of privacy settings?

Example on the desktop:

I drop all cookies at the end of a browser session. Only a specific whitelist is kept (Google, Netflix, Facebook, and some more), but most of them are assigned to a container. And opening another website outside the container URL will get a fresh session.

On iOS, Firefox is just a skin around Safari so I'm not sure how much control they have around things like cookies. App store rules & OS limitations (around JIT compilation) prevent any other browser engine from existing.

Why is the Android Firefox dumbed down even though it can technically be as powerful as the desktop version? Mozilla's stupidity in a failed attempt to copy Chrome.

Have you tried Firefox Focus on iOS? It’s not feature rich, but it’s my preference for privacy.
