Why is Substack (YC W18) constantly hiring here?


Every time I come to Hacker News I see this post on the front page: "Substack (YC W18) is hiring to build a better business model for writing". Seen that at least twenty times . What's going on? Is it just marketing? Do they have a special deal with Y-Combinator?

HN is ad-supported. Its entire purpose is to create a honeypot for tech talent.

Only YC companies are allowed to advertise jobs, and their jobs are the only things you can't vote or comment on.

Honestly, this site is one of the most brilliant business ideas (and most ethical funding models) that I've ever seen. Assuming YC-funded jobs are mostly good (I have no idea), it's a win-win for everyone.
