I personally prefer this but I can understand why it might bother you. When others get credit, they unwittingly also end up supporting whatever I created. My goal is to benefit the greater good of the company. I get paid the same regardless, so if others have to support my creation that means less obligations for me.
I should add that if you suspect it may affect your performance raises, then make sure your work is documented in a way that you current and future managers can clearly see what you contributed. If this is not an option in your workplace, then document this on LinkedIn and your CV.
