How to fix web sites rendering in Linux?
Every time I browse web sites on Linux (Ubuntu), the web sites look a little "washed out". On the other hand, every time I browse web sites on MacOS, the web sites look vibrant, with nice saturated colors and clear, easy-to-read text rendering. My Windows experience is a few years old, but I remember that Windows web sites were rendering slightly worse than MacOS, but much better than Linux. This is across every browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave) and on exactly the same hardware settings, - same external monitor. The "washed out" effect is not large, but big enough to be annoying. I basically feel that it's pleasant to look at web sites in MacOS and not so much on Linux. Switching from MacOS, I always get the feeling that there is something "off" when I look at the browser on Linux.
Does anybody know, where this effect is coming from and, most importantly, how to fix it?
Nothing would make me more happy than getting rid of my Macs and switching to Linux completely, but I really would like to enjoy looking at the screen (I always use external monitors) while I am reading web sites.
