Why do engineers love working for Tobi Lütke? (Shopify Engineers)

I'm doing research for a few essays on Shopify and Tobi Lütke. A common theme keeps appearing: Engineers love to work for Lütke. It's been this way from the start. Because of his work on the Ruby on Rails project, many early Shopify employees were superstars in the open-source community and wanted to work with Lütke.

My hypothesis:

He approaches thinking and decision-making in the same way that he approaches engineering: logically and methodically. A byproduct of this is that engineers love to work for him and that Shopify is able to attract world-class talent.

I'm searching for Shopify employees (current or previous) that can verify/disprove/talk about this.
