Did you turn down a new job personality test? Why/not? What happened?

A couple of years ago I ended up having access to the assessment software that does all these tests. Kind of a sandbox version with a few tests preloaded. I did one for fun, then one of the colleagues,then the entire department. Eventually, all the management did it too. Well guess what, none of us could have gotten even a job to sweep leaves off the pavement not to mention our current jobs, based on those tests...

Yes. Bullshit Myers-Briggs bullshit to "determine compatibility." I refused by citing the ADA. Nothing happened, got the job.

Whether MB and other personality tests fall under ADA rules depends on some factors, but the ADA is a scary minefield for employers so just mentioning it had the desired effect.
