It seems that all the same old options (magneto, woo commerce, drupal, opencart, etc) seem to be the ones most often recommended in the listicles.
There have been lots of recent improvements in CMS and I would appreciate being informed of similar e-commerce offerings that are similar.
Features I appreciate: * self hosted and open source * easy for consumers to use * support for privacy respecting analytics * integration with at least Zapier * fast and lightweight especially in the back end * no nickel and dimeing to get features (not opposed to paying, but not for every little thing) * multi-lingual * multi-store * serial number tracking * product configurator * inventory management (basic + locations as a wish list item) * integration with a PIM (also taking recommendations!)
I know Drupal Commerce well, but feel it’s possibly too slow. Developers used to be good value.
Woo-commerce requires too many paid add ons and might also be slow. This is a shop first, content second project. Is my prejudice against Wordpress out of date?
Magneto seems over complicated and sluggish. It does have all the features.
I like the idea of heavily using Stripe’s features including the product and invoicing parts.
What are your recommendations? Thanks for your time and advice.
