Is it too naive to believe that DuckDuckGo is alternative

it's fine for lots of things and equally terrible at lots of things. It basically picks up the slack from google, i think. DDG isn't a real alternative, but it does things for me that google can't and vice versa. So i think that 85% of the time it's a good alternative. Of course there's the problem that i can't know what i'm not shown, and it's hard to talk about what i don't know.
