Trick for getting part time dev/sdet jobs with limited hours?

I'm a software developer who left the industry due to the fact that there just aren't flexible roles, time wise, and I'm wondering if with Covid there are some new avenues I'm not familiar with yet.

My personal situation is that I currently can work only very limited hours, say 4 or so a week, and I need a role that actually respects work life balance and doesn't push those boundaries.

With my current situation income isn't really a concern and I have no problem being paid minimum wage for this despite the fact that I previously worked as a mid level software engineer. I'm not trying to undersell myself, it's just my situation for a lot of reasons, and I do think that there must be a fit somewhere with a startup or non profit somewhere who would want to take advantage of it.

I've read a lot of different advice regarding part time roles and due to how minimal the hours I need are a lot of it doesn't apply or I'm not comfortable with anyway (applying for a job and then only after getting an offer admitting you're looking for part time, etc.). Now and then I do reach out to posts on HN Hiring asking about part time roles (and even then I don't go into how minimal my hours needs are).

If anyone has some creative ideas on how to look for these kinds of roles I'd appreciate it. Please no unsolicited advice on my situation as the limited hours and salary requirements are unique to me and this is what I have to work with right now for many reasons. Thanks!

The only company I know that operates based on how you described is Gumroad.

Unfortunately they don't have any open positions at the moment, you can keep an eye on here https://www.notion.so/Jobs-f43f816013b2405aa41ddefb663a4a38
